Dr. Megan Keynton

I was lucky enough to find my passion for serving others at the age of eight when I participated in my first school community service project working with homeless families. As I got older, I realized that my passions for serving others, art and science could all be embodied in Dentistry. To start my journey, I attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN for my undergraduate degree, I returned to where I grew up to attend the University of Louisville to earn my Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry and cheer on the Cardinals in basketball. Following graduation, I went on to participate in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with East Carolina University where I gained extensive training in implant dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, as well as cosmetic and esthetic dentistry. The opportunity arose to be closer to family in Northern Virginia and I soon found our wonderful team at Loudoun Dental Associates. I’m thrilled to be on a team that shares my dedication to patient-centered care and providing the best experience possible for all of our patients. I consider my patients like family and I love helping them achieve their ideal smile and getting back to optimum oral health.

In a world of ever-changing technology, I strive to stay up-to-date on the most current dental methods and techniques in order to provide the highest quality care to my patients with all of their dental needs by attending continuing education seminars. I am an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), in which I am currently pursuing a Fellowship. All of these Associations provide valuable knowledge in the latest advancements in dentistry that I can then translate into my patient care.

When I’m not at the office, you can find me spending time with family and friends. We love to travel around the country and world to explore new cultures and experiences. One of my favorite experiences while traveling has been taking a cooking class in Italy learning to make homemade gnocchi. When I am not traveling, you can find me getting my hands into anything art or craft related. Crafting is another passion of mine. Everything from card making to home decor is on my project list. My newest adventure is cookie baking and decorating. I’m quickly filling orders for birthdays and specials occasions for my team members at Loudoun Dental Associates. I’m a bit of a foodie and on any given evening you can find me in the vast array of restaurants in the DMV or trying my hand with recipes at home. I’m excited to now call Northern Virginia home and I’m looking forward to exploring all this area has to offer.
